Connect in
three steps.
The Shelf is a hosted MCP endpoint. You need an active subscription and the license key (it starts with BWK-) that was shown to you once after checkout. Stuck at any step: 416streetfoodco@gmail.com.
https://blackwell-shelf.vercel.app/api/mcp
Add it as a custom connector.
Add the connector
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. Name it Blackwell Shelf and paste the endpoint URL above.
Paste your key once
Claude opens our authorization page. Paste your BWK- license key there and approve. That one paste ties the connection to your subscription — you do not paste the key again.
Run the tools
The tools your subscription covers appear in Claude. Ask Claude to use extract_angle on a brain-dump, or build_dossier on a research question. Disconnecting the connector, or cancelling the subscription, ends access.
Client menus change over time; the shape stays the same — add the URL, approve on our page with your key, use the tools.
Clients that take a license header.
If your MCP client supports custom headers instead of the sign-in flow, point it at the same endpoint and send your key on every request, either way:
Authorization: Bearer <your-license-key>x-license-key: <your-license-key>
No client handy? The subscriber desk runs the Angle Extractor in your browser with the same key — nothing to install.
Keep the key private. It is personal and non-transferable (see the terms), and it stops working the moment the subscription ends.
What each tool actually does.
extract_angle — The Angle Extractor. Paste a raw brain-dump — a voice-note transcript, fragments, half-sentences — and it structures your own words into an Angle Brief: the angle in one sentence, how the money moves, who pays, why it could win, why it could die, what has to be true, your own words quoted back, a GO / NO / SHARPEN verdict, and exactly one next action. It structures what you gave it; it does not verify demand or feasibility.
build_dossier — The Research Dossier Method. Give it a research question and the evidence you have gathered, and it assembles a structured research-dossier scaffold: citations, reference implementations, contested claims, unknowns, and a verdict section, with missing evidence left visible. It does not browse the web and does not independently verify facts. Anything you supply is recorded as supplied by you, never upgraded to “verified.”
Both tools are for your own business ideas and notes. Do not submit claim files, government IDs, or other people's private information — see the privacy page.
