What we collect,
and why.

This page describes, in plain terms, what the Blackwell Shelf service holds, what it is used for, and what it is never used for. If anything here is unclear, ask us at 416streetfoodco@gmail.com.

First · The one rule

Keep private material out of the tools.

Do not submit Do not submit claim files, government IDs, or other people's private information to these tools. The tools are for your own business ideas and notes — nothing else.

The tools do not need personal information to work, and they cannot reliably detect it if you paste it. What you submit is your responsibility.

What we collect · The full list

Four things, nothing more.

  • Your email address. If you join a waitlist, we store the email, the product you picked, and the time you joined. If you subscribe, our payment provider collects the email and payment details at checkout — your card details go to the payment provider, not to us.
  • Your license record. Your license key is stored as a one-way hash, together with its status, which product it opens, and when it was created and last used. A newly purchased key is held once, briefly, so it can be shown to you on the claim page; that delivery copy is erased the moment you claim it.
  • Connection tokens. If you connect through a client that uses our sign-in flow, the access and refresh tokens are stored only as one-way hashes, along with the client registration details needed to keep the connection working.
  • The text you submit to the tools. The words you send to extract_angle or build_dossier are processed on our server to produce your result. The tools do not save your submitted text or the results in our database.

The service runs on hosted infrastructure (hosting and database providers). Those providers keep their own operational logs under their own policies.

What it is used for · Running the service

Nothing beyond the service itself.

  • Running the tools and returning your brief or dossier.
  • Checking, on every run, that your license is active and covers the tool you called.
  • Delivering your key after checkout and helping you if you lose it.
  • Answering your support emails.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for marketing. There are no advertising trackers on this site.

One conditional case: if the optional model-backed engine is switched on for the Angle Extractor, the text you submit is sent to the model provider to generate your brief. The dossier tool never uses an external model. The current engine is the built-in deterministic one.

Retention · Plain terms

Kept while it has a job to do.

  • Waitlist emails are kept while the waitlist is running. Ask us to remove yours and we will.
  • License and connection records are kept while your subscription is active, and for a reasonable period after it ends, as the record of the subscription and its access.
  • Connection tokens expire on their own schedule and stop working when you cancel, disconnect the client, or the license is revoked.
  • Submitted tool text is not stored by the tools, so there is nothing to delete afterwards.
